Raksha Bandhan is just around the corner and we can’t wait to celebrate it with our beloved siblings. It is the festival of joy that brings our near and dear ones close and makes our bond even more strong. Speaking of bonding, there have been some memorable characters on Zee Marathi that have stayed on with us even after we switched off our TV sets. These characters have created a special place in our hearts so much so that we wish some of them were our siblings in reality. Here are of our favourite Dadas that we would love to celebrate this Raksha Bandhan with.

Saumitra from Mazhya Navryachi Bayko is one of the many characters who we wish to tie a Rakhi to. With his affable attitude and kind-heartedness, he’s the ideal brother anyone could ask for. Saumitra stands by his loved ones and supports them in tough times. He also likes to express his love and takes effort in displaying affection for his family. Isn’t he amazing?

With Tuzhat Jeev Rangala‘s Rana on our side, we have nothing to fear. This character is the epitome of perfection in every sense of the word. His passion for things that matter to him the most (read: Anjali) makes us fall in love with him. The brawny Rana is a former wrestler who can easily fix anyone and anything, and hence qualifies in every category to become our awesome sibling. Imagine how proud you would feel as a sibling if Rana made heads turn with his trademark style?

Aditya has never had the chance to be with someone like-minded since everyone in his joint family is older than him. Although he’s the youngest member of the family, he maturely takes care of everyone including Appa who suffers from memory loss. This character from Maza Hoshil Na could be fun to hang out with as he’s ever ready to try new things in life. We would love to have him as our sibling and get awestruck by his intelligence and smartness.

When we think of siblings, we couldn’t help but be reminded of Sambhaji from Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji. The Maratha warrior king who pursued Swarajya all his life gave equal attention to his own family despite being the protector of several more in his kingdom. Sambhaji also had utmost respect for his relatives like Soyrabai and Rajaram. This fascinating character from history is an inspiration to many across the globe and we would have liked to learn from him by becoming his sibling.

This character from Mrs Mukhyamantri is on his way to become the chief minister of the state and has got all the qualities that is required to succeed in politics. Samar has sailed through stormy waters with ease and has proved to be tough competitor for his rivals despite being an amateur. If Samar was our sibling, he could have protected us from all the trouble. He is also known to go beyond his limits for helping someone which is another reason why we would love to tie a Rakhi on him and declare him as our big brother, both literally and figuratively.
