Rakul Preet stands by Samantha Akkineni

In the face of relentless trolling, criticism and judgment that followed after Samantha announced her divorce from Naga Chaitanya, the actress is getting support from her friends from the industry.

In response to Samantha’s post about the rumours and personal attacks on social media, the Family Man actress has received immense love from her colleagues. Rakul Preet Singh dropped a heart emoji on the post.

Her costume designer Neeraja Kona has also expressed solidarity with Samantha. Kona commented “Love you papa,” and dropped hug and heart emojis.

Even her hairstylist Preetham Jukalker has spoken up. In an interview with a publication, he said that Naga Chaitanya could have issued a statement to put an end to rumours of a link-up between Jukalker and Samantha.

Another close friend of Samantha, Lakshmi Manchu also responded to her tweet with a smiling face with hearts and flexed biceps emojis. She also wrote, ”that’s my girl.”

Samantha had posted a heartfelt note in response to the rumours of her various affairs and not wanting to have a baby as reasons behind the separation. Chaitanya and Samantha were the power couple of the Telugu cinema and fans loved their jodi. Together they were called #ChaySam. The actors were married for five years.

Even as Samantha and Chaitanya battle their personal crisis, they continue to fulfil their professional committments. Chaitanya has been gracing the events of his latest film “Love Story” with Sai Pallavi and also attended the promotional event of “Eligible Bachelor” featuring Pooja Hegde and Akhil Akkineni.

Samantha has been promoting her fashion label “Saaki” which completed one year and also walked the ramp for Rina Singh’s sustainable brand Eka at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week.

She will soon be seen in Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu hosted by Jr.NTR. The show is the Telugu version of   Kaun Banega Crorepati. The episode featuring Samantha is likely to be aired on Dussehra on October 15.
