1. Qubool Hai
Qubool Hai was one of the best shows and it received top ratings for the channel. The show featured Surbhi Jyoti and Karan Singh Grover as the lead pair,the two played the role of Zoya and Asad respectively. The storyline of the show is based on two Muslim families and their journey. The actors soon became a household name and gained popularity among viewers. The show broke several stereotypes and gave audiences a perfect picture of Muslim culture and traditions.
2. Jodha Akbar
Zee TV’s epic love story of all time – Jodha Akbar gained the audience’s attention within no time. The show featured Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas in lead roles. The storyline of the show was about a political marriage between a Rajput princess and a Mughal emperor, and how their love changed the fate of their country. The show won the hearts of the viewers with the way they depicted the story perfectly. 3. Ishq Subhan Allah
Ishq Subhan Allah featured Eisha Singh, Adnan Khan, and Tunisha Sharma in the lead roles. The show is set against a Muslim backdrop and talks about contemporary, social issues. The show even highlighted the topic of triple talaq and Sharia law . Due to the popularity of the show, the makers launched the spin-off ; Ishq Aaj Kal which featured Angad Hasija, Ankitta Sharma and Paras Kalnawat among others.
4. Qurbaan Hua
Qurbaan Hua is a new show that is aired on Zee TV and features Pratibha Ranta and Karan Jotwani in lead roles. Qurbaan Hua is an intense drama about how Neel and Chahat who can do anything for their families. The show premiered from February 17, 2020. Chahat is a doctor by profession and belongs to a Muslim family, while Neel is the son of a priest but wants to be a chef. Neel gets married to Chahat as he wants to seek revenge from her, for his sister Saraswati’s death. The show is set against the Muslim background and showcases the beauty of their culture.
5. Amanat
Zee TV’s popular old show Amanat revolves around the story of a man, Lahori Ram, who loses his wife and has seven daughters to take care of. He belongs to Pakistan and is rooted in their culture and traditions, even after partition. Soon, he gets his daughters married and they get to see a new side of life and that’s when conflicts start. The show premiered on August 21, 1997 and received the highest TRP. The show changed the perspective of audiences towards life.
