Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi who essayed the role of Ravan in Ramayana passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 82 at his residence in Kandivali

Actor Arvind Trivedi who essayed the role of Ravan in Ramayan, left for heavenly adobe Tuesday night. He died due to a heart attack at the age of 82. According to a report of a leading daily, the actor was unwell for some time and suffered a heart attack and organ failure. Arvind’s nephew Kaustubh Trivedi confirmed the news while talking to a leading daily. He also went on to reveal the cause of death. On Tuesday night, he suffered a heart attack around 9:30. Arvind died at his Kandivali residence in Mumbai.

Kaustubh told the leading publication that the actor was not keeping well for quite some time, and today he suffered a heart attack, that led to multi-organ failure. He also said that things got worsened over the past three years. Arvind had to be admitted to the hospital a few times. Kaustubh also said that his last rites will take place at Dahanukarwadi crematorium, Kandivali West, in Mumbai on Wednesday morning.

On early Wednesday, Arvind’s Ramayan co-star Sunil Lahiri shared a picture of the late actor and wrote on his Instagram account, “Bahut Dukhad Samachar hai ki Hamare Sabke Pyare Arvind Bhai (Ravan of Ramayan) Ab Hamare Bich Nahin Rahe Bhagwan Unki Atma ko Shanti De (This is very sad news. Our dear Arvind Bhai is no longer with us. May God bring peace to his soul). I am speechless I lost father figure my guide well-wisher and gentleman.”

Trivedi immortalized the character of Ramayan, which also starred Aruv Govil as Ram, Dipika Chikhlia as Sita, and Sunil Lahiri as Lakshman. The show ran from January 1987 to July 1988. The popularity of the show increased again after it was aired on television again during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
