Rani Mukerji To Celebrate Durga Pooja In Full Spirits With Family Following Social Distancing Norms

Bollywood celebrities Rani Mukerji, Kajol, and other Mukerji family is planning for virtual Durga Puja this year and also ensure that all guidelines of Covid-19 are followed strictly

Just like every year, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, and the Mukerji family are gearing up for the much-awaited Durga Pooja celebrations in high spirits. Durga Pooja is just around the corner and all Bengali households are ready to rejoice Mahalaya to welcome Mother Goddess by playing the Mahishasuramardini composition on the radio.

Speaking of the celebrations, the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja is organized by Bollywood’s Mukherjee family. This Pandal is a well-known pandal, and many stars are seen attending the puja. According to reports, this year, the puja done by the Mukherjee family will go virtual for the second consecutive year due to covid restrictions.

Deb Mukherjee is a senior member of the family who is also an erstwhile actor and father of Brahmastra filmmaker Ayan Mukherjee, shared that this is the second year the family is doing a virtual Durga Puja. Everyone will have to maintain social distancing and wear masks, so not a of people are allowed to walk in. It is only for members. Keeping everyone’s safety in mind, the family thought going virtual was the best decision to make. Even the members are allotted a specific time slot when they can visit the pandal.”

The Samiti has also scaled down the idol to 4ft and 6ft with the ‘mukut’. Elderly members have been requested to stay at home. Members are allowed to visit the pandal in small batches adhering to social distancing norms. Outsiders, the daily ‘bhog’ and flowers are being strictly prohibited to ensure minimum physical contact. Only two hours have been allotted for the morning ‘anjali’ without flowers and another two hours for the ‘sandhya aarti’ for members only.

Well, it’s the best time of the year where celebrations will be bac to back with Diwali and other festivals too coming in. Everyone is all set to welcome joy in full spirits.
