Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt To Star In a Love Story Helmed by Karan Johar?

Filmmaker Karan Johar is all set to once again don the director’s hat for a love story featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead role. While the details of the project haven’t been released officially yet, reports suggest that the lead actors have been confirmed by Dharma Productions. Further, rumour mills have it that this upcoming project will be a love story starring the Gully Boy duo. This project will see Karan Johar directing the film after a long time.

However, fans know directing love stories is Karan Johar’s forte. He has previously directed hit love stories including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and many more. Going by his reputation in the genre, fans are extremely excited about this upcoming romantic venture. Previously, Karan Johar directed the 2016 tragic love story, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead role, the movie was much-loved by audiences and critics alike.

Songs of the film like Channa Mereya, Bulleya went on to become famous love anthems. Now, Karan Johar is all set to create his magic again by painting the silver screen with the colour of love. Talking about Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, the duo last teamed up for Gully Boy and earned umpteen appreciation for the depiction of the underground hip-hop culture in Mumbai. The duo will also be seen in Karan Johar’s magnum opus Takht.

The period film, Takht has faced production delays owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the film has gained much-anticipation due to its multi-starrer cast including Kareena Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt. As per reports, Alia Bhatt will also star alongside Singh’ wife Deepika Padukone in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra alongside boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
