Rasika Sunil On Her Comeback In Mazhya Navryachi Bayko: Still Feels The Same After 2 Years

Mazhya Navryachi Bayko has become a household name thanks to its captivating story. The show is also being praised for dealing with unconventional subjects like extramarital affairs in its narrative. It also features some memorable characters that have made the narrative more interesting. Shanaya is one amongst the many characters which have created a special place in everyone’s hearts. Isha Keskar had become the fans’ favourite for playing the role to perfection. After playing the role for over two years, the actress quit owing to her health issues. The makers decided to replace Isha with the equally talented Rasika Sunil, who was an obvious choice since she had already portrayed the role of Shanaya on screen. Rasika is now getting ready to make a comeback on the show and prepping herself to get into the skin of Shanaya. In an interview with a popular publishing website, the actress shared her excitement at rejoining the show. Let’s look at what the actress said.

Rasika had quit the show a few years ago to complete her education in the US. The actress had won hearts with her stunning portrayal of the role during her stint in the show. Given her experience, the makers approached Rasika to play Shanaya soon after Isha bid adieu to the role. When asked about her return, the actress said, “It doesn’t feel like two years have passed since I quit the show. The beauty of Shanaya is still the same.”

Rasika was ecstatic to have have been cast again as Shanaya. The actress is now looking forward to catching up with her former co-stars Abhijeet Khandkekar, Adwait Dadarkar, and Anita Date. Speaking about it, Rasika said, “I shared a great bond with the entire team and it remains the same even now. So when I was approached for the role again, I readily accepted it. It is a pleasure to be in front of the audience once again.”

Now that Rasika has filled in for Shanaya’s spot, we can’t wait to see her back on screen. We know that she will do justice to the role just like the previous time.
