Ratris Khel Chale, Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta: 4 Shows That Earned Themselves A Franchise

Zee Marathi has been on top of its game in providing the viewers with entertaining content ranging from rom-coms like Maza Hoshil Na, travel shows like Masta Maharashtra, to reality shows like Chala Hawa Yeu Dya and Maharashtracha Superstar. The channel has also produced certain shows that became massively popular and were later turned into a franchise. These shows earned their rightful place in the hearts of the audiences and were successful in entertaining us during the time they were on-air. Here’s the list of four such shows on Zee Marathi were made into a franchise by popular demand. We begin the list with the horror drama Ratris Khel Chale.

1. Ratris Khel Chale – Ratris Khel Chale 2

Ratris Khel Chale was a supernational thriller based on the strange happenings that go around in the Naik Wada after the death of the head of the family, Anna. The best part about the show was that it was based in a typical village in Konkan which made the show more enjoyable to watch. The prequel of this show titled Ratris Khel Chale 2 is currently being telecasted and has received similar ratings like the previous one. Although this time, the story revolves around Anna’s life and his extramarital affair with Shevanta. Ratris Khel Chale 2 has also garnered attention for the dramatic portrayal of horrifying events in the lives of the Naik family. You can watch the prequel here.

2. Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta – Eka Lagnachi Teesri Gostha

Another show that we loved to watch on TV was Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta. The romantic comedy was based on the tale of a couple, Radha and Ghana, who struggle to work their relationship out despite having dissimilar interests. The show featured Swwapnil Joshi and Mukta Barve whose chemistry we could never get enough of. Following its success, a new show Eka Lagnachi Teesri Goshta released shortly after the first one ended. The plotline of this show also resembled the previous one as we saw a couple who start their relationship based on conditions and agreements.

3. Dil Dosti Duniyadari – Dil Dosti Dobara

Directed by Sanjay Jadhav, Dil Dosti Duniyadari was a hit amongst the youth for its refreshing take on friendship. It revolved around the story of six friends and the hilarious incidents that take place in their routine life. The show starring Amey Wagh, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Pooja Thombre, Sakhi Gokhale, Swanandi Tikekar, and Suvrat Joshi reminded us of the American sit-com F.R.I.E.N.D.S which had an identical story. This show was later reintroduced with a newer plotline but with the same cast as Dil Dosti Dobara. 

4. Jaago Mohan Pyare – Bhago Mohan Pyare

Jaago Mohan Pyare starring Atul Parchure, Shruti Marathe, and Supriya Pathare in lead roles revolved around the story revolves of Mohan who comes across a fairy. Through her magical abilities, the fairy helps Mohan get away from his dominating wife. The show was back a year later as Bhago Mohan Pyare. However, this time Mohan had a ghost instead of a fairy to keep him company. Watch how Mohan finds himself in trouble because of the ghost in this horror comedy now on ZEE5.
