Ravi Dubey And Nia Sharma Commence Shooting For ZEE5 Original Web Series Jamai Raja 2.0

The wait is finally over for #SidNi and #NiVi fans! Ravi Dubey and Nia Sharma officially commenced shooting for Jamai Raja 2.0 on Tuesday. Ravi and Nia’s pairing in Zee TV show Jamai Raja was immsensely loved by fans and ever since the serial went off the air, they have been rooting to get it back. We were the first to inform you and confirm that Jamai Raja sequel indeed is happening. However, the new series will be a web project and shall be streamed on India’s fastest growing OTT platform ZEE5. Besides Nia and Ravi, Achint Kaur too shall be returning to the popular franchise.

Jamai Raja 2.0 went on floors in Mumbai with Nia and Ravi. Both the television figures couldn’t hold their excitement and posted pictures on Instagram from day one of shooting for the digital drama. Nia took to the photo-sharing app and shared behind-the-scenes pictures with a clapboard which read Jamai Raja 2.0. She captioned the post, “Day 1 … Here we gooooo again!!!! @ravidubey2312 #jamairaja2.0.”

Jamai Raja had enjoyed a three-year successful run with several leaps and plot twists and had three seasons. Nia essays Roshni Patel while Ravi was seen as Siddharth Khurrana on the show. It was even developed into regional languages. The original was produced by Ashvini Yardi and Akshay Kumar’s banner Grazing Goat and co-produced by Meenakshi Sagar. Jamai Raja 2.0, however, is being bankrolled by Ashvini’s new production venture Viniyard Films.
