Since makers of the show wished to keep Saie’s onscreen tale as close to her real-life, they made certain references to support the narrative. Here are some of them:
The star-studded house party
In the show, Saie is seen buying a posh flat in Andheri and hosting a house-warming party. Here we see the who’s who of Marathi cinema as the guests.
One of them is popular Marathi actress Girija Oak Godbole. She gives Saie a warm hug in the scene and is later shown chit-chatting with the actress in her kitchen.
You may not know that the two are close friends in real life and share a close bond.
Another actor that warms Saie’s house is Siddharth Chandekar who is also a close friend of the actress.
Saie’s closeness with Swapnil Joshi
In one of the scenes in the show, a man is going through Saie’s pictures and mentions that she is extremely close to popular actor Swapnil Joshi. Well, this in fact is true! The actors share a special bond and Saie’s Instagram pictures are all the proof you need. Saie and Swapnil have shared screen space in Tu Hi Re, Pyaar Vali Love Story, Duniyadari etc.
Saie’s mother in the spotlight
Saie is shown living with her mother in the house that she has moved in. She introduces her mother to her neighbor Himanshu (played by Rohit Dashrath Rao). Did you know that she’s Saie’s mother in real-life?
Her name is Mrunalini Tamhankar and we must say that the lady has done a splendid job as the actress’s mom in the show.
Tenu suit suit karda
In the first episode of Date With Saie, we see the actress attending an event in a sleeveless embroidered green churidar-kurta. We went through her Instagram posts and spotted this picture posted by the actress, in the same churidar-kurta, which she wore for an event.
The color may seem different, but that could be due to the lights on set and how usually scenes appear different on camera. We got a hint of the real color in this scene from the show where she gets mobbed.
Same to same right?
Our guess is that either Saie went to a real-life event wearing this suit and a part of that was used in the show or that she repeated this outfit for a scene to make it look authentic. What do you think?
