Remember Anshuman From Jab We Met? Tarun Arora Returns With Naxalbari as Pathak

Jab We Met starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shahid Kapoor had become a blockbuster. The film is remembered even today along with all the other characters who worked in the film. One such character we all remember is of Geet’s crush Anshuman, played by actor Tarun Arora. Tarun Arora is set to come back to our screens with his new ZEE5 original Naxalbari. Tarun is seen playing a pivotal role in the series. Take a look at how the two characters of Anshuman and inspector Brijesh Pathak differ from each other and how Tarun has grown as an actor.

Tarun Arora from Jab We Met returns with Naxalbari 

Naxalbari has already premiered on ZEE5 and has garnered the cast a huge fan following. Although Rajeev Khandelwal plays the lead role in the film, Tarun’s character proved to be a real hero. The actor had gained popularity with Jab We Met when he played the role of a boy, Geet, the protagonist falls in love with. With his perfect portrayal of the character of Anshuman, Tarun made us believe that the character is like all those men who dump women when just when the women are in need of real love and support. Though the film was a huge success, Tarun did not get many roles in Bollywood. However, he started getting roles in many Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam films.

Anshuman was shown to be quite a narcissist in Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met. He insults Kareena’s character Geet in front of his neighbours and even Aditya played by Shahid. Anshuman broke her heart and wasn’t sorry until he realised he needed Geet in his life after she called him up to abuse him.

Tarun’s character in Naxalbari, Inspector Brijesh Pathak, is shown as someone who would save lives sacrificing his own. Brijesh is shown as a good guy beating all the goons that come his way. Tarun is shown as an intense character as a policeman who fights against the evil. He is shown as a very inquisitive and dominating character who does not like being lied to. Unlike Anshuman’s character, Pathak is looked upon by his juniors and they respect him. He goes on a mission to catch the culprits of the bomb blast in Gadchiroli. He is also shown as a sympathiser as he is worried about his policemen and juniors who lose their lives while on the Naxal missions.

Tarun Arora, with his sexy physique and good looks, has played many negative characters in the South Indian film industry. We hope he gains much more popularity in the Hindi film industry after fans watch him in Naxabari. His character will make you believe that there are a few good humans left on the planet and you should value them.
