Karisma Kapoor made her film debut in Prem Qaidi in 1992, becoming the first girl from the Kapoor family to be allowed to work in films. She then went on to work in iconic films like Raja Hindustani, Hum Saath Saath Hain among others which became massive hits. She won critical acclaim for her work in the film Fiza in 2000. She took a hiatus from films in 2003 and surprised everyone by returning to their screen in the web series Mentalhood, that was critically acclaimed and even widely loved by audiences.
