Richa Chadha To Collaborate With Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali For His Digital Debut

If we say that you have to name an Indian director whose work has upped the entire experience of watching cinema on the big screen, who it would be? Well, when it comes to enjoying the cinematic experience, one name that crosses our mind is Sanjay Leela Bhansali. After Devdas, Padmaavat and Bajiroa Mastani, among many others, his fans were eagerly waiting for Gangubai Kathiawadi, starring Alia Bhatt. But, the Coronavirus-induced lockdown turned out to be the mood spoiler. On the other hand, many actors and filmmakers marked their digital debut in 2020. And, now, it is said that Sanjay Leela Bhansali will too join the bandwagon. Although not much details are out, actor Richa Chadha is said to play the lead of Bhansali’s digital project.

Interestingly, Richa Chadha is in talks for the lead character of Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s digital debut project. It is speculated that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is planning to make a web series, which will be produced under his production banner. And, the Lahore Confidential actor is currently in talks with the veteran director. Coming to the upcoming project, it is said to be a period drama rooted in a chapter of Indian history. It is added that the filmmaker will make it independently and later he will sell it to an OTT platform. Following the classic formula of three leads, along with Richa, two more male leads will be roped in for the project.

Another thing which has deepened the speculations is that a few days back, Richa was spotted outside Bhansali’s office. If everything falls into the places, the actor-director duo will reunite after nine years. They last worked together for 2013 film Ram Leela, starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Coming to the professional front of the Cabaret actor, her latest release is Shakeela. Due to the scare of COVID-19, the film failed to get the footfalls at the box-office. On the other hand, she recently shared the first look poster of her upcoming film, Madam Chief Minister. The diva looked sporting a never-seen-before avatar for the upcoming project.
