Ryan Gosling will star with this actress for the upcoming Warner Bros’ production

Well, that’s great! If everything goes according to plan, Ryan Gosling of La La Land will play a renowned Mattel figure in Warner Bros’ film based on the popular doll brand Barbie, starring The Wolf Of  Wall street star Margot Robbie. Robbie plays the title role in the film, which is directed by Greta Gerwig.

However, due to his busy schedule, Gosling first turned down the part, but as pre-production progressed and the studio insisted on him being their only choice, an opening in his schedule occurred, allowing him to join the cast. With Gosling on board, the movie appears to be nearing completion, with filming expected to begin in early 2022.

Barbie seems to have found its Ken

The storyline is unknown at this time, but given Gerwig’s track record as a filmmaker, one may expect a novel take on the doll story. According to sources, Robbie is producing the picture with Tom Ackerley of LuckyChap Entertainment. Robbie Brenner of Mattel and David Heyman of Mattel under her LuckyChap Entertainment company. Executive producers include LuckyChap’s Josey McNamara and Mattel’s Ynon Kreiz.

In terms of Gosling, the role could be some of the most exact casting in recent years, which would certainly pique viewers’ interest even more about what to expect from the film. The Oscar nominee just concluded production on The Gray Man, an action film directed by the Russo Brothers and co-starring Chris Evans.
