On the latest episode of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – The Next Singing Icon, participants Yuti, Chaitanya and Bharat gave stellar performances. After which the judges announced the singer who was to be eliminated. This is where the audiences and the contestants got a twist that was unexpected by everyone.

After Yuti, Chaitanya and Bharat had given their performances, Chaitanya and Bharat were both placed in the Golden Zone. This was the most awaited eliminations, where a few contestants would have to bid the stage farewell. While the contestants from the gold zone were immuned, contestants from the silver zone were at risk for eliminations.

The sliver zone contestants were called on stage for eliminations and the ambience was serious for a while. Once they were on the stage, Koti said that he had good news and bad news. Giving the bad news, he told Abhilash that he was the weakest performer of the lot and had to be eliminated. After Abhilash gave a heartfelt speech about his fellow contestants and the show, his mentor was teary-eyed. Revealing the good news, music director and judge Koti said that the good news is that there will be no eliminations and they were pulling Abhilash’s leg.

There were no eliminations, while the viewers and contestants were led to believe so till the very end of the episode. While Abhilash’s farewell speech was very sweet, viewers are glad that he will get to perform in the next round. The judges too didn’t give it away easily and played around with the contestants making the moment of relief an absolutely hilarious one. With this Master Koti, proves once again that he is the funniest judge on the panel.
