Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- The Next Singing Icon: When singer Sunitha let off steam

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- The Next Singing Icon, entered the quarter-final round recently. In the episodes that followed, the contestants in the silver zone competed with the singers in the gold zone. Each singer of a silver zone challenged a singer in the gold zone. The singers in the gold zone were immune to elimination whereas the singers in the silver zone had to fight for a place in the show.  Around four singers participated in this showdown in each episode. While the competition was getting heated, Singer Sunita joined in to support the contestants as a judge on the panel.

After Sai Pallavi had finished performing and Pragna was called on stage, Pradeep asked her how she felt about being called “Junior Sunita”. To which the contestant replied nervously saying she was her idol. Pradeep called on the evergreen singer onto the stage only a few moments after that.

Once she graced the stage, the melodious singer said that she enjoyed every performance of the show. Then she went on to add jokingly that she liked Music Director Koti’s dance more than anything else. Though Sunita was extremely sweet to the contestants, she did not shy away from pulling Pradeep’s leg.  She teased him a little about Harika before she took a seat at the Judges panel.

Soon enough, Pragnya moved on with her performance and proved why she was called Junior Sunita. After she finished her performance, she requested to hug the guest of honour and embrace her presence. Sunitha agreed to this and the contestant went on to hug her idol.

Pragnya was declared as the winner of the sing-off between Sai Pallavi and her, while Ananya won the round between her and Ganesh. Ananya also went on to win the best performance of the day.
