Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Next Singing Icon: Who got Pragna to finally say something other than ‘thank you’?

On November 22, 2020, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa-  Next Singing Icon entered the quarter-final round. The Telugu singing reality show certainly has some extraordinary talents as participants.  On a recent episode, after Sai Pallavi had finished performing and Pragna was called on stage, Pradeep asked her how she felt about being called ‘Junior Sunita’. The contestant replied nervously saying Sunitha was her idol. Pradeep called the evergreen singer onto the stage only a few moments after that.

After Pragna’s performance, the judges were all praising her marvelous singing skills. Later she was again asked how she was felt upon being called ‘Junior Sunitha’, to which she just smiled and after the performance, she asked if she could hug Sunitha. Otherwise, we would always see her only say ‘thank you’.  It was Pradeep who said that he was grateful to the evergreen melodious singer Sunitha, for gracing the show and coming over to the show and making Pragna say something. The contestant is usually very silent and does not talk much. This was probably one of the very few times we saw her speaking. She sang the song ‘Cheppamma Cheppamma’ and took away everyone’s breath. Pragna was declared the winner of the sing-off between Sai Pallavi and her, while Ananya won the round between her and Ganesh. Ananya also went on to win the best performance of the day.

In the episodes to come, the contestants in the silver zone will be competing with the singers in the gold zone. Each singer of the silver zone will challenge a singer in the gold zone. The singers in the gold zone are immune to elimination whereas the singers in the silver zone will have to fight for a place in the show. Esteemed singers Mano and S.P Sailaja and music director Koti are the judges on the show while the jury panel consists of eight singers that elevate the experience of the show.
