Saba Ali Khan Shares Priceless Unseen Photo Of Grandmother Lal Didi With Rabindranath Tagore On Her Birth Anniversary – See Photo

Saba Ali Khan may not have entered Bollywood but she is a known name in the industry. She often shares photos and videos of her and her family including the star kids Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. Saba is the sister of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. These days Saba has been sharing black and white pics of her parents Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and others on her social media account. On Monday, she has taken to her Instagram account to share an unseen photo of her grandmother Lal Didi with Nobel Prize winner and poet Rabindranath Tagore.

Taking to her Instagram story Saba Ali Khan shared a black and white photo of both. While sharing the photo, Saba wrote, “Happy Birthday Didi. My grandmother…who we all called Lal didi…fondly. She had the kindest soul, a woman of spirit and lots of charm! Miss you #sharmilatagore #rabindranathtagore #mother #happybirthday.” In the shared photo, Rabindranath Tagore can be seen seated on a chair and Lal Didi standing beside him in a saree. She had tied her long hair in plaits on each side.

Speaking of the prestigious family, Saba Ali Khan is the daughter of former actor Sharmila Tagore. The veteran actor’s maternal grandmother, Latika, was the granddaughter of Rabindranath Tagore’s brother, Dwijendranath Tagore. Adding more to it Sharmila’s mother’s name was Ira. For an unversed, Sharmila’s 1960 Bengali film Devi was inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s writings. Adding more to it, Sharmila Tagore now lives at the Pataudi Palace in Gurugram. She is the wife of late crickter Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Her son Saif Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan visit her occasionally with their respective families.
