Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was trolled on social media for taking coronavirus vaccination on Friday. Netizens criticised and trolled the actor for taking the vaccine while also making fun of his ‘age’. He was caught on camera coming out of a vaccination clinic in BKC.

India began its vaccination drive with healthcare workers and frontline workers. Then in March, the vaccination was made available for senior citizens aged above 60 and people with co-morbid conditions aged above 45. Saif Ali Khan does not fall under either of the categories and thus faced backlash for his decision to get vaccinated. One social media user said, “How did he get it when the elderly are still in the queue?” while another user said, “Is he 60 plus?”.

Saif also faced criticism for not wearing a proper mask while he went to the vaccination centre in BKC. He was spotted wearing a red bandana instead of a mask. Earlier too, the actor was seen without a proper mask and precaution. Recently, he became a father to a baby boy again. Many prominent actors who are above the threshold of 60 like Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Kamal Hasaan and Johnny Lever have received the vaccination so far.

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan has many interesting projects lined up for this year. He will be seen as a part of the ensemble cast in Bunty Aur Babli 2 and will also venture into the horror-comedy genre with Bhoot Police. In the upcoming year, he will be a part of Adipurush where he will depict the role of Ravana.
