Sembaruthi 8 December 2020 Written Update: Durai Manikkam accuses Akhila of being drunk

In the previous episode of Sembaruthi, Akhila presents the award to Durai Manikkam and offers to help a woman. As planned by Nandini, Suguna wears a burqa and attends the award ceremony. She spikes the soft drink meant for Akhila.

In the latest episode of Sembaruthi, Akhila slaps Durai Manikkam. She accuses Durai Manikkam of misbehaving with a female subordinate. On being questioned by Akhila and the Commissioner of Police, the female constable denies the charges on Durai Manikkam. A shocked Akhila announces to everyone present at the function that Durai Manikkam had a cheated a woman. To prove her point, Akhila looks for the woman in the auditorium, but fails to find her. She calls the security guard, who had witnessed the woman’s woes. On seeing a different security guard, Akhila creates a scene. Durai Manikkam announces that Akhila is drunk. On hearing this, Akhila slaps Durai Manikkam and warns him to stay in his limits. Akhila and Durai Manikkam enter into an argument.

Akhila’s driver calls Arun and informs him about the events at the function. Arun tells Purushthaman and Aishwarya about the same. The trio decide to go to the auditorium. Vanaja is happy on hearing the news.

At the function, Durai Manikkam is adamant that Akhila must apologise to him, but Akhila refuses to oblige to his demand. Durai Manikkam claims that Akhila is drunk and the latter agrees to conduct an alchohol test. Te doctor leaves after collecting Akhila’s blood sample. Akhila decides to stay back untill she learns about the results. Arun rushes to Akhila’s help and argues with Durai Manikkam for accusing Akhila of being drunk. Durai Manikkam tells Akhila that if the result comes positive, he will arrest Akhila for manhandling him in front of his colleagues. As the doctor walks in, a senior officer informs Akhila that traces of alcohol was found in her blood. Purushothaman and Arun drag Akhila out of the auditorium when Durai Manikkam announces that he will arrest Akhila in the next two days. Will Akhila be arrested?
