Talking further about her interview with the leading daily, the actress jokingly mentioned how it will be easier for her to convince veteran Hollywood director Steven Spielberg to cast her in a movie than her own kids.

Shabana Azmi revealed how her kids are always curious to know what she is going to be cooking for them. And it always has to be kebabs and biryani every single time. The actress added how she had once served her kids’ Thai food and they screamed, and still keep complaining about it even after all these years.

The actress went on to say things about her son Farhan Akhtar that are true in every sense, Shabana Azmi mentioned, ”He is fiercely independent and deeply caring. Also, he is talented, funny, at times witty and a super father. I respect his space and he respects mine, which is why we have a strong bond.”

Farhan and Zoya are their father Javed Akhtar’s children from his first marriage to scriptwriter c. However, Shabana Azmi revealed that her relationship with Farhan and Zoya wasn’t all well during their childhood but, now, they have bonded really well. Speaking from the audience point of view, we would love to see Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar for a film that would be made by Shabana Azmi.
