In the latest Bengali TV serial Nakshi Kantha, actor Manali Dey plays the protagonist called Shabnam, who has been separated from the love of her life Jash (played by Suman Dey) by the evil Rohini (played by Sneha Chatterjee Bhowmick). Rohini has managed to get the two divorced and married Jash after constantly hatching vicious plots against Shabnam. Shabnam tries to make the best of her situation however, and tries to be a good wife to Debdeep (played by Indrajit Chakraborty) whom she is currently married to. In real life today, everyone in the world is fighting to stay safe during the Coronavirus pandemic, which means we are all confined to our homes or wherever we happen to be, in order to avoid its spread. Manali too, is staying at home like the rest of us, and recently posted a throwback photo of herself with her mother, when she was just a toddler.

Isn’t that a totally adorable photo? We can see just how much Manali resembles her mom! Her caption expresses how much she longs to see her, especially now at a time when many of us have to stay separated from our loved ones because we must stay put where we are and cannot venture out anywhere else. Manali manages to stay in touch with her mother virtually, and their relationship is truly heartwarming.
Many of us will relate to this yearning for our loved ones while we ride out the storm. However, the most we can do is stay strong by remembering that we will eventually overcome this challenge, and just how much doing our bit by staying in is contributing towards it. We hope to emerge victorious in our battle with the pandemic soon, and be able to see those we miss dearly, again. Till then, stay home and reach out to them over the phone!
