Malvika Raaj, who played a young Kareena Kapoor in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, is about to make her film debut in Squad, a Zee5 original film. She discussed how she got the part, filming during the Covid-19 outbreak, and even reminisced on-set experiences with Shah Rukh Khan from the Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham days as per the sources.
Shah Rukh was the star of the show for Malvika. It was once when they were all gathered around the table for lunch, and Shah Rukh was sitting there as well. When she walked in, he stood up from his chair and greeted her. As of today, she still remembers it fondly. That made her very pleased. Usually, people don’t act in such a manner, but Shah Rukh Khan, being Shah Rukh Khan, was both brilliant and modest in this situation.
Malvika admitted that she got carried away when she started modelling, despite the fact that acting was always on her mind. She had so much pleasure on the runways in the fashion world that she got completely carried away. Malvika was ecstatic when she was given Squad, but when she learned it was an action film, she saw it as an ultimatum because it was something she had never done before. Since K3G, she’s been taking acting lessons, dance classes, and pronunciation classes to improve her acting skills. However, the action was new to her.

The diva talked about filming for Squad during the pandemic as a totally unusual experience. They made two trips to Belarus. They went the first time before the coronavirus hit, and the second time when the virus was at its peak. Malvika had only recently recovered, and they needed to depart for the shoot. She was released after only 20 days. Because she knew she’d be travelling with antibodies, the actress felt a little more at ease. On the work front, Malvika has lined up with debutant Rinzing Denzongpa in Squad which is set to premiere on Zee5 on November 12.
