Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri To Collaborate For Sujoy Ghosh’s Next

As the lockdown restrictions begin to ease in Maharashtra, celebrities have started resuming their projects. Moreover, many of them have been taking up new projects as well. In the latest news, Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is now reported to be collaborating with actress Triptii Dimri for his next project. The project will be helmed by ace director Sujoy Ghosh and is expected to go on floors by September 2021.

Shahid Kapoor has been working in the film industry for more than a decade and a half. His last film, Kabir Singh was not only a commercial success but the actor’s performance was also highly appreciated by the audience and critics alike. The actor recently finished shooting for his upcoming film Jersey which is a sports drama written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. And now the actor is ready to move on to his next.

Shahid was in talks with director Sujoy Ghosh for a possible collaboration and looks like things are getting on track for the duo. Not only have they solidified their collaboration but they’ve also finalised on the female lead which is Triptii Dimri. Triptii has worked in many projects including Laila Majnu and others, but she’s most known for her performance in the Netflix original Bulbbul.

The title of this project or genre of the film is yet unknown as no official announcement has been made. But according to sources, Triptii has loved the script and the shooting is scheduled to start around September 2021. Meanwhile, Tripti will also be seen in Qala with Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan and in Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Parineeti Chopra.
