Shawn Mendes in lookout for new hobby but struggles to put down his guitar

Shawn Mendes recently spoke about his ongoing struggle to find a hobby apart from music. During an interview with a news portal, Mendes has admitted that he is unable to find something that he enjoys as much as music. He added that he has always struggled to put down the guitar or invest his time in something other than music.

The Senorita singer said the reality is that he struggled to put down the guitar and also struggles to figure out what to do besides his music and feels like he is really over-obsessed with what he does.

Shawn Mendes and Game of Thrones

Stating that he is currently exploring other areas of interest, Shawn said that he has tried his hand in archery. This was an after-effect of binging on the superhit series Game of Thrones. He said he tried living like Rob Stark ( one of the characters of Games of Thrones) and tried his hand at archery.

Shawn was awed by the series (no surprises) and called the show phenomenal. This seems to be at odds with some fan reactions who despised the final episode. The 23-year-old revealed how much he enjoyed watching the show on television which led him to take up archery.

Shawn Mendes can play both the piano and the guitar. He gained his popularity through the video-sharing app Vine, where he released snippets of him singing his own renditions of popular songs. Shawn released his debut single “The Life of the Party” in June 2014.

Needless to say, it became a huge hit. It also earned him the title of the youngest person to debut in the top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100, at just 15 years, 11 months, and 4 days of age. Well, it’s established in the music industry how well Shawn Mendes sings but his new love may be the next milestone for him to achieve. While Mendes explores this side of his life, fans are waiting for his next album.
