Bollywood actress Vidya Balan was last seen in Shakuntala Devi where she enthralled the audience with her exceptional performance. The film even earned her two Filmfare Award nominations as well. After almost a year-long break, Vidya is back with another incredible film. The actress recently shared the teaser of her upcoming film titled, Sherni, and it’s all the rage among the audience.

Directed by ‘Newton’ fame Amit Masurkar, Sherni will premiere and stream exclusively on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. In this film, Vidya Balan will be seen playing the role of a forest officer, and a really efficient one at that. Ever since Vidya shared the first look of the film, the audience was already interested in seeing what new avatar will Vidya be seen in. And now that the teaser is out, the actress’ powerful dialogue delivery and her overall look have left the audience captivated.

Sharing the Sherni teaser on her Instagram, Vidya wrote, “A tigress always knows the way! Ready to hear the #Sherni roar? Here’s the Official Teaser. Trailer out, June 2. Meet #SherniOnPrime, June 2021.” Basically, she did not just share the teaser but also announced the trailer release date and gave an estimate on the film’s release as well. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Amit Masukar, the film has a powerful ensemble cast that includes Vijay Raaz, Sharat Saxena, Mukul Chadda, Ila Arun, Brijendra Kala and Neeraj Kabi. Sherni will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in the month of June itself. The film’s release date will be revealed tomorrow along with the trailer.
