Shraddha Kapoor All Set To Be Bollywood’s New Naagin

Bollywood actor Shraddha Kapoor is all set to turn into a Naagin as she has signed a three-film series, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi. The movie is based on the shape-shifting Naagin and will be turned into a trilogy. Shraddha has been a part of several films like Chhichhore, Baaghi and Stree and announced about her upcoming project on social media. Her fans will be more than excited to her in the lead role of a Naagin. A leading daily reported the actress is very happy about her upcoming project. During an interview with Bollywood life.com, she said that she’s very excited for the project since she always wanted to play a role like this.

Shraddha Kapoor mentioned that she grew up watching supernatural Bollywood movies and is also a big fan of Sridevi’s Naagin character because of her eyes and expressions. Her three-film series will have a desi story and she’s happy to be a part of such a project. She also mentioned that the film, directed by Vishal Furi, who has earlier helmed the popular Marathi movie LapaChhapi, will have heavy VFX effects.

The as-yet untitled project hasn’t gone on the floors. Earlier, Ekta Kapoor was also planning to make a Naagin series, but the project halted due to some reasons. She was hoping to cast actor Katrina Kaif in the film, but due to some issues between the two, the film never came into being. Shraddha, who spent her days during the lockdown at her Mumbai residence, was last seen in Baaghi 3 opposite  Tiger Shroff.
