Sidharth Malhotra Starrer Mission Manju’s Shooting Commences in Lucknow

Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra starrer Mission Manju’s shooting has finally commenced in Lucknow. The news was revealed by the production house of the film on Saturday, February 5. This upcoming espionage thriller is all set to mark the debut of Rashmika Mandanna in Bollywood. As stated by the makers, the plot of the film is set against the backdrop of the 1970s and chronicles India’s most courageous mission which took place in the heart of Pakistan and resulted in the change of the relationship between the two nations.

Ronnie Screwvala, who has previously produced films like Uri: The Surgical Strike, The Sky is Pink, is all set to bankroll this project under the banner of RSVP films. While announcing the news, the production house wrote on its Twitter handle: “The first chapter of one of India’s deadliest covert operations begins today! #MissionMajnu commences shoot in Lucknow”. While Sidharth Malhotra has already begun filming the project, Rashmika is yet to join the filming stage. However, while expressing her excitement on Instagram, an elated Mandanna wished good luck to the entire team of Mission Manju. She wrote, “Ahhhhh.. my boys start rolling today! All the bestest y”all.. have fun without me,” tagging Sidharth Malhotra on her story. She also added that she will join the cast soon and concluded her note saying, “See you soon”.

This upcoming espionage thriller will be helmed by debutant director Shantanu Bagchi. Penned by Parveez Shaikh in collaboration with Aseem Arora and Sumit Batheja, the movie will see Sidharth essaying the role of a RAW agent, who leads one of the toughest mission ever. Meanwhile, details of Mandanna’s role has yet been kept under wraps by the makers. Apart from Mission Manju, Sidharth will also be seen in Shershaah opposite rumoured girlfriend Kiara Advani and Thank You. Mission Mangal may hit the silver screens by the second half of 2021.
