Singa Penne follows the story of Mahalakshmi who wants to join the army. The manifold plot includes everything from familial bonds and romance to nationalism and struggles to achieve something in life. It is very difficult to not be engaged in a story like this because it will keep you engaged throughout.

As every shot takes you to the village, Srikanth Ila excels in his cinematography and brings the place alive making you want to go there. Apart from reveling in the scenic beauty of rural India, we also see characters that are as beautiful and innocent as you would find people in the village to be.

3) R.Pavan’s promising direction

To play with multiple angles early in one’s career as a director is a bold move that director R.Pavan makes and excels in. All credits go to him for keeping the audience engaged during this roller coaster ride which he has unspeakable command over. He shows promise with Singa Penne and we can’t wait for his next venture.

4) Arnav’s commendable performance

Arnav is everything from dashing and charming to earnest and devoted as an aspirant of the army and we love the fact that he is finally coming to light with his role as Arjun. He is exceptional as Arjun, a probable reason for Mahalakshmi to join the force and train as hard as she can.

More often than not, when a series or movie portrays a strong female character, she isn’t treated as well as we expect the story to treat her. However, this isn’t the case with Singa Penne, where the character is already independent but chooses another path in life and happily accepts all the struggles that it brings along.

6) A glimpse of a soldier’s life

While there have been numerous films on the lives of soldiers and many of them are amazing ones, Singa Penne brings a certain authentic touch to the story which means that we will see the lives of the soldiers as they are, without any exaggeration or undermining.
