Bollywood actor Sonu Sood recently took to social media to share his thoughts on the board exams and why they should not be conducted this year. In the video shared, the actor has shed some light on the current COVID-19 situation in the country and how gravely offline examinations can escalate the numbers. In the video, the actor also gives examples of Saudi Arabia and Mexico as these countries took a stand for the students and cancelled the examinations. The actor has lately been travelling around the country as he is shooting for multiple projects in Bollywood and in the South Indian film industries.

Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood recently took to social media to come out in support of Indian students as the government had not issued any notice on the cancellation of offline exams at that moment. In the video shared, Sonu has mentioned that he wants to stand with the students as such an examination would only worsen the ongoing pandemic in the country. He was of the stance that exams must be cancelled as it is a matter of concern for student, their families, and teachers.

Sonu Sood highlighted how a few countries stepped forward and cancelled the exams even when the COVID positive numbers were way below 1000. He stated that Saudi Arabia canned away all exams when they had merely 600 cases and Mexico decided to not have examinations when the toll touched 300. The actor stated that in India, the current number of active cases has summed up to 1,45,000 and still we have not taken a call on the issue. Sonu Sood is of the stance that an alternate mode of assessment must be used this year as it would be unfair and problematic if offline exams are conducted.
