After : Akshay Kumar Starrer Earns Rs 4.5 Crore On Its 11th Days; Leaves Kesari Behind In Just 11 Days

Sooryavanshi starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif got a theatrical release on November 5. The film directed by Rohit Shetty has successfully managed to win the hearts of the audience. It has received love from the viewers and also from the film critics. After getting several release dates the film was finally released this year and it has made a great buzz at the box office. The box-office collection of the Sooryavanshi is increasing rapidly day-by-day leaving behind all the collections of movies of Akshay Kumar to date.
Akshay Kumar’s earlier released films like Mission Mangal, Housefull 4, and Good Newwz made a good buzz at the ticket windows and grabbed a huge collection too. His other film, Kesari had collected Rs. 154.41 crores and but did not make a collection of Rs. 200 Crore Club. Kesari was a patriotic battle drama that won hearts and brought goosebumps on the entire body of the viewers.
It seems like his recently released film Sooryavanshi has become a record-breaker. In just 11 days, the film has collected Rs. 155.73 crores already, what with Monday collections recording Rs. 4.50 crores. In the process, it has exceeded the lifetime numbers of Kesari in a matter of just 11 days. The collection and response to the film are commendable and the efforts put by the entire team are reflected on the silver screens.

The common factor between Sooryavanshi and Kesari is that Karan Johar is associated with both films. The partnership is of course working for the duo as evidenced in the Rs. 200 Crore Club success of Good Newwz. Sooryavanshi also saw Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in a cameo appearance, reprising their roles of cops from their films Simmba and Singham.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay Kumar will be next seen in Ram Setu. He also has Kick 2, Cirkus, Bachchan Pandey and Attack in his kitty. Akshay Kumar also has several projects lined up in the pipeline, including Prithiviraj, Bachchan Pandey, OMG – Oh My God! 2, and Raksha Bandhan.
