The hugely popular period drama television show, Rani Rashmoni, stars Ditipriya Roy as Rani Maa, Sourav Saha as Gadadhar Chattopadhyay and Gourab Chatterjee as Mathurbabu in lead roles along with several others in other pivotal roles. Immensely loved and celebrated by its audience for over three years now, Rani Rashmoni has given us numerous beautiful memories to look back upon. As the upcoming season of Christmas approaches us all, here is a brief look at some of our favourite Rani Rashmoni moments.

When Gadadhar Chattopadhyay finally saw Maa Kali, it was a glorious moment for the absolutely devoted priest. An innocent and extremely devoted man, Gadadhar’s dedication and love for Maa Kali are unbeatable. So when the Goddess herself graced him with her presence, it was a pleasant miracle for him.

Rani Maa’s granddaughter Kamala turned widow at a very young age after Mohendranath’s death. However, Rani Maa was determined to get her remarried. Although it was a slight struggle, she eventually succeeded at remarrying Kamala (Soumi Chakraborty) off to Raghobendra (played by Amitava Das). Considering the time period that the show is set amid, an widow marriage is something to be celebrated indeed! The values that Rani Rashmoni lived by in her real life, were reflected through this.

When the marriage of Kamala and Raghab risked the latter’s life, everyone was worried about his recovery. Kamala held herself responsible for Raghab getting shot. But right as Padma asked Kamala to declare that she was only a widow of Mohendranath’s, an exceptionally great piece of news made through to them that Raghab was regaining consciousness. This was a huge relief for everyone, especially Kamala. Miracles don’t happen, don’t they? We loved looking at an elated Kamala.

It was a moment of delight when Gadadhar Chattopadhyay got the blessings of his sister-in-law while visiting Kamarpukur recently. The woman blessed Gadadhar that he would find himself getting married to a very beautiful bride soon, which made the others extremely happy too. These moments of sheer happiness melted all our hearts and hope the did the same for you too!
