A team of three AIIMS doctors is helping the CBI investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and will question Cooper Hospital doctors.

A team of three AIIMS doctors is helping the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to investigate the SSR death case. Five doctors of Cooper Hospital were going to be questioned by the AIIMS team, who was in Mumbai from September 4 to 6. Rajput was found hanging at his Mumbai home on June 14. In the last pictures of the late actor, the ligature mark appears horizontally in the middle of his neck, bruised rather than showing up at a higher place, oblique and abraded, which is common in hanging. A leading media channel has accessed a list of four questions that the team of AIIMS doctors are going to ask the doctors of Cooper Hospital who conducted Sushant Singh Rajput’s autopsy.

Since ligature marks of this type is usually indicative of homicidal strangulation, this was a narrative built in the minds of the people as the picture of the late Bollywood actor was widely circulated on social media platforms. Here are the questions AIIMS doctors asked doctors of Cooper Hospital who performed Rajput’s autopsy: What is your opinion about ligature mark alone? And in combination with the internal examinations findings and inquest reports? Please explain how you ruled out the possibility of ligature strangulation? How could ligature mark be produced by a kurta, the alleged ligature material? How can this narrative of homicidal ligature strangulation spread among the public all over the world be resolved?
