SSR Case: Details Of Missing Rs 15 Crore From Bank Account Revealed

An amount of Rs 15 crore was allegedly siphoned off from Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s bank account. Earlier, Rajput’s family had alleged that the actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty siphoned off Rs 15 crore and demanded action into the money laundering matter. Enforcement Directorate (ED) struggles to trail the money. Although a probe has found out that money might not have been paid to the actor in the first place. Mumbai Police investigations have revealed transactions worth only a few lakhs of rupees between the accounts of Rajput and Chakraborty.

The assessed transactions are nowhere near the Rs 15 crore reported ‘missing’ from Rajput’s accounts in Bihar Police’s FIR. A senior police officer, who is privy to the investigation in Rajput’s alleged death by suicide, said there are no suspicious transactions from any of his accounts. “All the expenses are related to the rent paid for his apartment, money spent on travel, hotel stays and renting a farmhouse in Lonavala,” he said. The actor’s chartered accountant Sandeep Sridhar endorsed the Mumbai Police’s findings.
