Arrested by the NCB in Sushant Singh Rajput drug case, siblings Rhea and Showik Chakraborty’s bail plea was rejected by the Sessions Court.

As per the latest development in Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty’s drug case, their lawyer Satish Maneshinde is likely to file their bail plea in Bombay High Court today (September 16). Earlier, the Sessions Court had rejected Rhea Chakraborty and Showik Chakraborty’s bail plea after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) opposed it. Post that, the Chakraborty siblings were sent into judicial custody for 14 days along with Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and other drug peddlers Zaid Vilatra and more. Now, their lawyer may file a bail plea in Bombay HC.

As per a report, Bombay HC hears bail applications on two days that is Mondays and Thursdays. As the Sessions Court order of rejection of the Chakraborty siblings was served to the lawyer on Monday (September 14), they could not file a bail plea. However, their lawyer is likely to oppose the verdict of the Sessions Court on their bail applications and may file a plea in the Bombay High Court. Both Rhea and Showik were arrested by NCB in connection with alleged drug links in the SSR death case.
