Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari’s Mangal is similar to Shah Rukh Khan from Baadshah. Confused? We can explain how.

Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari starring Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee is a satirical comedy directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by ZEE Studios. Manoj Bajpayee portrays the role of Mangal who is a detective spying on boys who are about to get married so as to inform the girls’ parents if they do any illegal activity. Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Baadshah also played a quite similar character. Let’s draw some parallels between Mangal and Baadshah.

In Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, Mangal has a motive to investigate the boys to know that they belong to the right background and are fit for the girl they are about to get married to. Baadshah also had the same motive when he investigated Seema in the movie as he wanted to know that the girl is a fit match for the boy who approached him.

Baadshah became a blind man when he went to Seema so as to know what she does on an everyday basis. He also approached her and wanted to see how she reacts. Baadshah even clicked some pictures. Interestingly, Mangal used the same technique to investigate the boys. He disguised as a lady, a goon and even as an old man to know what Suraj and other boys are up to in their lives.

Mangal has a very quirky attitude and he loves to make jokes as he goes around asking about boys. Baadshah also had a quirky personality and his way of taking out information from strangers was the same. On the other hand, Mangal threatened Suraj with the most hilarious threats just like Baadshah who used funny threats when he was warned at the airport.

Though Mangal’s way of dealing with single boys was not loved by Suraj, he had a positive motive towards doing what he did. Same goes with Baadshah, when he saved the Prime Minister, he knew he had to play dirty to do the right thing. Baadshah tried all his efforts to save his people and his love interest, Seema and same goes with Mangal. He wanted his sister to be saved and he was ashamed that despite saving so many girls he couldn’t save his own sister. In conclusion, Mangal and Baadshah were both detectives and they had very much in common. We wonder what would happen if they crossed paths someday!
