Sushant Singh is a highly talented actor, who has been a part of the Hindi film industry since the late 90s. He began his career with the crime drama Satya and soon became a prominent actor in Bollywood as well as the television industry. Sushant Singh has mainly portrayed brooding and serious characters in his career. As the actor turns 49 on March 9, 2021, let us take a look at some of his best roles.

After his debut with Satya in 1998, Sushant Singh’s acting career saw a good rise. He starred in the psycho-thriller Kaun and in the action drama Josh. His claim to fame was his films in 2002, the action-thriller 16 December, and the biopic, The Legend Of Bhagat Singh, in which he played the role of the freedom fighter Sukhdev.

In 2003, he starred in a dystopian tragedy, named Matrubhoomi: A Nation Without Women. Sushant Singh plays the role of Sooraj, a young boy from a family of ruthless and cruel men, who treat the one woman in their family in the worst way possible. Sooraj, however, is different from his brethren and shows respect for women. Sushant Singh later starred in the crime thriller Samay, and the war drama Lakshya. In 2005, he starred in another crime drama, named Sehar. The film also starred Arshad Warsi, Mahima Choudhary, and Pankaj Kapur. Sehar revolves around the subject of organized crime in Uttar Pradesh. Sushant in Sehar plays the role of Gajraj Singh, a hardened criminal, who is trying to save himself from the police’s task force. After Sehar, Sushant Singh starred in multiple critically acclaimed films, including D, Shikhar, and Mukhbiir. The film also starred Vivek Oberoi in the lead role.

Sushant Singh in Rakhta Charitra stars as Shankar Ravi, the son of a powerful crime lord who gets murdered. Shankar is on an enraged mission to end those who killed his father. Sushant Singh nails the role of Shankar, who is previously a silent man, suppressing his anger, and later unleashes havoc to avenge his father’s death. After Rakhta Charitra, Sushant Singh appeared in multiple Hindi films, where his performance was appreciated by the audiences. These included Mirch, Hate Story 2, and Yeh Saali Zindagi. His most recent work among those is the role of Wasim Khan in Baby.

Sushant Singh made his digital debut with the show Rangbaaz Phirse, which also starred Jimmy Sheirgill, Gul Panag, and Sharad Kelkar in prominent roles. Sushant Singh in Rangbaaz Phirse played the role of Jai Ram Godara, a gangster, who was the prime associate of gangster Amar Pal Singh (Jimmy Sheirgill).
