Sushant Singh Rajput Case: CBI Will Recreate The Crime Scene
Trending NewsTo initiate proceedings in late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, the CBI investigation officers have reached Mumbai.
On Wednesday (August 19, 2020), the Supreme Court transferred the Sushant Singh Rajput death case to the CBI for investigation. The central agency has reportedly put together a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to get the probe underway in Mumbai city. According to a news report, the CBI has got onboard top forensic doctor Sudhir Gupta to join the investigation. Gupta was reportedly the forensic expert in the famous Sheena Bora and Sunanda Pushkar cases among many others. The report further goes to state that the CBI will try to establish if the case was a suicide or murder.
In order to determine the cause of death, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will recreate the crime scene and will also examine the autopsy, post-mortem and forensic reports. The team is expected to arrive in the city today (August 21) and commence their probe. Reports say that they will also approach the Mumbai Police for any and all evidence collected and even acquire Rajput’s case files. Six people have been quizzed in the first phase of the investigation so far.
