Historical serial Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji is Zee Marathi’s most popular show at the moment. The serial is about to end soon and fans are still coming to terms with the fact. The comments and posts on social media are filled with emotional responses from fans, who are trying to guess how the show will reach its end. The serial features Amol Kolhe as Sambhaji and Prajakta Gaikwad as his wife, Yesubai.

Though the two have done justice to their characters and won hearts with their stellar performances, the supporting actors with their roles, have been equally at par. The role of Kavi Kalash or popularly known as Kaviraj, is one of the best ones on the show. Playing Raje’s best friend and confidante, Kaviraj is seen as a brave man, who has fought many wars for Sambhaji. The most striking quality of this character is his undying loyalty towards Sambhaji.

Though Anaji Pant was seen as an evil character on the show, he could hold your attention and how. Mahesh Kokate’s acting skills can be marveled upon as so convincing was he in his role, that he could make you almost hate him, organically. Anaji’s conspiring actions against Raje made him lose his life.

Aurangzeb’s role deserves to be appreciated. The role performed by Amit Behl, is negative and backed by a power-packed performance. The actor who has to speak in Hindi in this Marathi language-based show, manages to emote particularly well and reach the audience with his expressions instead of his dialogues.

Aurangzeb’s general and the Mughal warrior who has promised to kill Sambhaji, Muqarrab Khan’s character on the show, is another one that stands out.  The general determines to kill Sambhaji and takes an oath for the same. Aurangzeb is happy knowing that he Maratha ruler will finally be killed for good. Muqarrab Khan’s desire to become a prince makes him strongly inclined towards winning Aurangzeb’s trust and the way he does so, makes for an intriguing watch.

Kanhoji Rao is the main reason behind the decline of Swarajya and Sambhaji’s unfortunate demise. Kanhoji is a greedy person who falls into Aurangzeb’s trap. He is also seen luring Ganoji Rao and this leads to an internal break within the Maratha army.
