See what the versatile The Lovely Mrs. Mookherjee actor has to say about the women in our lives.

Swastika Mukherjee, the gorgeous actor from the ZEE5 Original film The Lovely Mrs. Mookherjee and a host of other impressive repertoire of films and shows to her name, has a message about women that everyone should take note of ahead of International Women’s Day 2020. In a series of behind-the-scenes photos from her upcoming film, Swastika delivers an important reminder about the role women play in our society. Watch her in the movie below:

“Women don’t always need to a ‘REBEL’ to get what they deserve. Their family, their husbands, their kids simply owe it to them. Cheers to all the #SRIMATIS who keep doing their thankless jobs & a bigger cheers to the women & men behind them. Amidst all hopelessness here I start my film #srimati with Arjunn Dutta & @supratimbhol and team.”

Swastika highlights how pivotal the women in our lives and families are, and reminds us to be grateful for the enormous difference their presence makes to us. They should not need to “rebel” to earn their place and rights– we owe it to them to recognise that already.

This image of Swastika catching a nap reinforces the importance of getting enough rest– something many hardworking women have to fight for to get a bit of, if at all. Her caption urges us to change this aspect of society, and grant women their well-deserved right to take a break like everyone else.

In this picture, Swastika is seen in the kitchen after cooking up a storm. Her message encourages us to appreciate all the women who have played and continue to play a key role in feeding, clothing and supporting us every single day– something we often forget to do or take for granted. After all, they are traditionally the backbone of every household and family. This Women’s Day, let us honour all the women in our lives and remember to ease their burden without them having to struggle for it– simply because we owe them that much. In fact, let us strive to do so every day of the year, only because they deserve it.

In what ways do you show appreciation for the important women in your life? Tell us in the comments below.
