Coronavirus is spreading at a fast rate and the lockdown in India has been extended further. The pandemic has attacked the world with equal fervor and wreaked havoc in several countries and in India, Maharashtra is the worst hit. The CM and the Mumbai police are trying their best and imposing new rules to keep citizens safe. The health care workers and the police are working 24 hours and doing double shifts to keep a check on the spread of the virus. Staying away from their families and being stationed at the workplace are some of the many luxuries that these corona warriors have had to give up. The news of two police constables succumbing due to the disease has hit the nation hard. And today, one more police officer lost the fight against the virus. Several Marathi movie celebrities reacted to the deaths of the martyrs and offered their condolences through tweets.

The Mumbai police shared a tweet on their official Twitter handle that two of their head constables- Chandrakant Ganapat Pendurkar and Sandip Surve- succumbed to the virus. The officers were on duty when they got exposed to the virus and fought valiantly against it.

Revered Marathi film director Ravi Jadhav re-tweeted the post and offered his condolences. “May the heroes Rest In Peace,” he added.

Dr. Prakash Baba Amte – The Real Hero actress Sonali Kulkarni also reacted to this information and shared her grief. The actress also added that the festival of Akshay Tritiya holds no significance as when a family member loses a member, no festival is celebrated.

Mumbai Pune Mumbai actor Swwapnil Joshi also put forth his condolences and reshared the tweet, followed by Ye Re Ye Re Paisa actor Siddharth Jadhav.

Sai Tamhankar also shared the tweet and added an emoticon with joined hands showing salutations and prayers for the martyrs.

In addition to this, Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Madhuri Dixit also shared their condolences.
