Playgrounds, schools, homework and extra-curricular activities are what we associate childhood with. Due to the long and on-going pandemic, many kids have missed out on a lot more than just summer vacation. While adults try to find a new way to make life indoors a more comfortable, kids too are constantly trying to adjust to the new normal. And various sources of entertainment have played a role in keeping them in one place. After some amazing films and shows, ZEE5 is back with Bapu.
Watch the trailer of Bapu here:
Bapu is the latest show aimed to keep kids aged between four to nine entertained. The central character is named Bapu – heavily inspired by the real-life father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi. His companions through many adventures in the show are three wise monkeys called Dekha, Suna and Bola. One of the three monkeys advocates against indulging in conversations you haven’t witnessed, the second advocates to stay far away from something you haven’t heard first hand and third, refuses to talk something that isn’t well-thought, well-intentional and kind.
Bapu and his three wise monkeys stay in a place called Bharat Nagar. This fictional town is a representation of the entire country. Here, we have people who have more money than they can count and more material possessions than they can remember. In the same neighbourhood, there are also people who have to struggle for every single meal and have no promise of a brighter tomorrow. People of all cultures and regions thrive as one community in Bharat Nagar. Of course, there are mishaps and wrongdoings. But with the wisdom of Bapu being bestowed upon them, Bharat Nagar continues to be a good place.
Are you ready to take a trip to Bharat Nagar with your kids? We hope you are! Let us know in the comments section below.
