Tamannaah Bhatia to pair up with Chiranjeevi in Bholla Shankar, second time after Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy

Tamannaah Bhatia will star in megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film action thriller Bholaa Shankar.

Tamannaah who has carved a niche for herself in Tollywood, Kollywood and even Bollywood to a certain extent finally said yes after the makers made the advance payment. The actor who stunned the audience as Avanthika in SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali had given her nod to play female lead to Chiranjeevi in this film that Meher Ramesh will helm.

The delay in signing on the dotted lines is ostensibly attributed to reports that the makers took around two months to make the advance payment to her. The buzz in the grapevine is that the actor is taking home a neat pay packet to her bank for this project. With the shooting schedule almost finalised and the film expected to get on the floors soon, the makers finalised an agreement with Tamannaah Bhatia.

This is the second time that Tamannaah Bhatia will pair up with Chiranjeevi after their onscreen appearance in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Based on Kollywood’s hit offering Vedalam starring Ajith Kumar, Keerthy Suresh will play the role of the hero Chiranjeevi’s sister. Tamannaah Bhatia will reprise the role of Shruthi Haasan in Vedalam.

Industry reports indicate that while the shooting of Bholaa Shankar will commence on November 15, the Next Enti? star will join the sets in January 2022. Bholaa Shankar will come to the screens courtesy of AK Entertainment that is bankrolling the brother-sister drama project.

Chiranjeevi will play the role of a taxi driver in Bholaa Shankar. With the story bordering on the brother-sister bond, the move by the makers to release the first look poster during Raksha Bandhan, which symbolises this bonding, had the fans of both Chiranjeevi and Tamannaah Bhatia super excited.

Mahati Swara Sagar is scoring the music for this film which the producers are planning to release sometime during April-May in 2022. Tollywood superstar Mahesh Babu incidentally had unveiled the first glimpse of Bholaa Shankar on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s birthday earlier in August. Bholaa Shankar also marks the first collaboration between Chiranjeevi and Mhere Ramesh.
