Taapsee Pannu says the so-called insiders in the industry have never validated her films, and she doesn’t expect them to do so. Read why she said this

Actor Taapsee Pannu has reportedly said that the insiders in the film industry have never given her validation, nor does she expect it. Earlier this year, Taapsee established her production house, Outsiders Films. The insider-outsider debate arose in the film industry after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput last year.

Taapsee Pannu said that she doesn’t think that being an outsider in the film industry makes a person inferior to the insiders in any way. She says she has never seen being an outsider in any way lesser than being an insider. Being an insider or an outsider doesn’t guarantee success, she adds. She believes the audience will make her successful and not being an insider or an outsider. She continues talking about her films, which have done better at the box office because of the audience, not the so-called insiders’ validation. They still don’t validate her even after having so many hits in her kitty. She exclaimed that she didn’t expect it; Taapsee credits her audience for making her reach the milestone that she has. She thanks and praises the audience who bought her ticket and watched the movie making it a hit.

She reportedly explained that she doesn’t feel the need to become an insider, which is why she named her production house Outsiders Films, as she wants to remove the negative connotations surrounding the term.

Taapsee also said that she’d like to work for as long as the audiences will have her, and if she senses that she has outstayed her welcome, she would like to make a graceful exit. She said that she couldn’t put a calendar date on how long it would work in the Industry and adds that she wants a graceful exit whenever that happens.

Taapsee is essaying Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj in Shabaash Mithu, and she begins a two-month schedule this week. She will kickstart with a clean slate as a new director has come on board for the film. We wish her success.
