The Lunchbox Casting Director Seher Aly Latif Passes Away, Bollywood Mourns Her Demise

Ever since the pandemic started in the early months of 2020, Bollywood has lost many great souls. While some were lost due to COVID-19 complications, many others left the world due to other illness or even something as sudden as a cardiac arrest. It’s a sad day for Bollywood, as it again lost a gem of a person. Unfortunately, producer-casting director Seher Aly Latif has passed away due to a cardiac arrest, leaving a great void in the industry.

What started with incredible artists such as Irrfan Khan, Rishi Kapoor and the likes, seems to be going on as the entertainment industry witnessed one departed soul after the other. As Seher Aly Latif passed away, the untimely demise of this renowned casting director was confirmed by another popular casting director from the industry Mukesh Chhabra. He shared a story on his social media confirming the news.

Seher Aly Laif is credited for being the casting director for as many as 20 projects with some of her popular ones being, The Lunchbox, Line Of Descent, Shakuntala Devi and Durgamati. One of her last projects was the series, Bhaag Beanie Bhaag, which brought her very close to actress Swara Bhaskar. The actress who couldn’t take the news of Seher’s demise took to social media to mourn her demise.

There are no words. Seher Latif is no more. This is cruelty. So young, so much to give. Can’t even utter RIP. We spoke only two weeks ago, I teased her & she laughed..
