Alphonse Puthren, the filmmaker of ‘Premam,’ has begun work on his second picture, titled Gold starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nayanthara in key roles. The shoot began on Wednesday with a muhurat puja ceremony. Supriya Menon of Prithviraj Productions and Listin Stephen of Magic Frames both were there to support Gold.
At the puja service, director Alphonse Puthren, his wife Aleena, actor Krishna Sankar, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s mother, legendary actress Mallika Sukumaran, and filmmaker Listin Stephen were present.
The song ‘Gold’ is Alphonse Puthren’s debut collaboration with Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film also marks Prithviraj’s first full-length collaboration with hotshot Nayanthara. The couple recently shared the screen in the 2008 blockbuster film “Twenty:20” for a song sequence. Prithviraj Sukumaran finished shooting his second executive film, ‘Brother Daddy,’ in Telangana a few days ago, and the actor is expected to commence the preparations for ‘Gold’ soon.
Meanwhile, Alphonse Puthren had previously reported about ‘Paattu,’ a film starring Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara. This time, I’ll be performing music as well. It will be written in Malayalam. Will keep the rest of the team and cast members updated as the film progresses,” said Fahadh Faasil, despite the fact that ‘Paattu’ has been postponed for the time being because Alphonse has begun work on ‘Gold.’
Nayanthara’s most recent Malayalam outing was in the film “Nizhal,” in which she played the lead opposite Kunchacko Boban. Nayanthara’s fans in Kerala are ecstatic as she celebrates her 100th Malayalam film. Because the diva is a Keralite who began her career in the film industry with Malayalam films, her association with a Malayalam film is always noteworthy.
