Kala Shah Kala, Band Vaaje: These Binnu Dhillon films will make your Sunday perfect
BollywoodAllow Binnu Dhillon to make your Sunday a fun-filled, entertaining ride with two hilarious movies – Kala Shah Kala and Band Vaaje.
The weekend used to be a short vacation. Saturday and Sunday were an antidote to cope up with the entire week’s stress and workload. Now due to the #Lockdown, even weekends are boring and it all looks the same. The excitement for these two days of the week is not the same. It seems that there is no fun left on Saturday or Sunday. However, we have a solution to make your Sunday a rollercoaster ride of laughter.
The driver of this rollercoaster is Pollywood’s multi-talented Binnu Dhillon and his two films that can spice up your boring weekend. Let’s start with the first one.
Kala Shah Kala
This romantic comedy has enough material to make you laugh, and at the same time, applaud the makers for going against the norms. The film stars Binnu Dhillon, Sargun Mehta, Jordan Sandhu, Nirmal Rishi and B.N. Sharma in pivotal roles. Kala Shah Kala is the struggle of Lovely (Dhillon) to find his soulmate. Due to his dark complexion, he faces rude rejections, until he finds Pammi (Mehta) and falls for her.
Little does he know that he would end up becoming her life partner. But Pammi hates Lovely, not only for his dark skin, but also because of her love for Jaggi (Sandhu). Pammi refuses to accept her marriage and Lovely decides to unite the estranged lovers. What follows is a ride of fun, emotions, hope, and breaking stereotypes.

Band Vaaje
Binnu Paaji can go to any limit for his love and this is proved in this mad comedy. Band Vaaje stars Binnu, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Mandy Takhar, Jaswinder Bhalla, director Smeep Kang and Nirmal Rishi in primary roles. Inder (Dhillon) loves Bilkis (Takhar), and to win her heart, he becomes her servant. But Bilkis’ house is a pandemonium because of Balwant Bajwa (Bhalla), his wife Billo Bajwa (Mannat Singh), and his mentally-challenged son Jimmy (Rakesh Dhawan).
Inder manages to win Bilkis and her uncle’s trust, but he has another issue. His beeji (Nirmal Rishi) hates Pakistanis, and guess what? Bilkis is a Pakistani. So now, how does he manage to convince his family about Bilkis? The answer is difficult to explain, you might need a notebook to understand it. So, it’s better to watch it.
Both these movies have one thing guaranteed, paisa wassool entertainment for the whole family. You can watch Band Vaaje over lunch and Kala Shah Kala over dinner to make your day a fun ride.
