Her recent superhit, the Bengali romantic film Parineeta, directed by husband Raj Chakraborty, has managed to win the hearts of the critics and audiences alike. Also starring Ritwick Chakraborty and Gaurav Chakrabarty, Parineeta is the story of Mehul, a bubbly girl who is in love with her neighbour and private tutor Babaida. But Babaida commits suicide and it crushes her completely. Later on, Mehul grows up and joins a corporate office where she meets Ranadeb, her boss. In Parineeta, Subhashree played the role of Mehul to perfection. In real life, her relationship with husband Raj, who directed the movie, is also full of love and happiness. The couple met during the auditions for the blockbuster hit film Chirodini Tumi Je Amar, post which they came to work together for the movie, Abhimaan. During the course of the shooting, they came close to each other. Their relationship started to bloom slowly and steadily. While they seemed to be the talk of Tinseltown, they were okay with taking things slowly. Ultimately, the power couple made the news of their engagement public after a year. With the blessings of many prominent names in the Bengali film fraternity, the couple started their lives with joy and happiness on May 11, 2018, at a heritage resort near Kolkata.
