Bringing a classical love story like Heer Ranjha to TV is a daunting task. But kudos to the makers for creating a beautiful world for these eternal lovers and getting us involved in it. Amaninder Pal Singh, Sara Gurpal and the rest of the cast of this Zee Punjabi serial are picture perfect and put up a great show. However, the best part of this Punjabi serial are the moments between Heer and Ranjha that build up their love story. Scroll down to check out what they are.

In this scene, Heer has come up with a plan to hide from the angry people of Takht Hazara who are looking for her. Ranjha is also stuck with Heer and they come up with a plan to hide in the jungle. Heer tells Ranjha to cover his face with a dupatta and asks him to hide in the bushes. Ranjha is so surprised that he does whatever she says without complaint!

This moment captures true love beautifully. Ranjha visits Jhang as a bangle-seller just to see his love, Heer. Somehow, he manages to sneak into her house. There, he sees Heer sleeping. Ranjha sits beside her and just thanks his stars for giving him such a beautiful face to look at. Ranjha takes Heer’s hand and keeps looking at her lovingly. This scene has very few dialogues but it is more powerful than any other moment from the Punjabi TV show. Here, Ranjha’s silence speaks a thousand words.

Here, Heer and Ranjha are paying their respects to God at the mazhar. Heer is praying whole-heartedly, but just look at Ranjha! It seems that he has found God in the face of his beloved. Doesn’t that just melt your heart?

Heer is upset with Ranjha for lying to her. Ranjha tries to seek Heer’s forgiveness but she ignores him. One night, Ranjha enters Heer’s room, and she threatens to call her family. Ranjha catches her wrist to stop her, making her fall into his arms! He kneels before her, gifts her a doll, and asks her to forgive him.

Ranjha is busy making mitti ke chirag when he suddenly sees Heer coming towards him. Ranjha is surprised to see her there. Heer starts helping him make the chirags. Ranjha sees that Heer’s face is muddied with clay, he moves towards her to clean it… and realises that it is his imagination!

In this picture, Heer and Ranjha are actually watching Babban who has disguised himself and is trying to befriend Kaido. Nimmo is about to get married to Kaido and Heer and Ranjha plan to stop it. With the strength of their love, they defeat Kaido and Babban marries Nimmo instead!
