This Women’s Day Monal Gajjar Shares Her Inspiring Story About #BreakingTheBarriers In Regional Film Industry

Women are the symbol of strength, resilience and willfulness in today’s society. And International Women’s Day is a day when we celebrate the existence of womenkind and their contributions to society. The women of the entertainment world also teach us many lessons, sometimes through their characters and sometimes through their personal life. Ahead of the Women’s Day celebration, popular Kaagaz actress, Monal Gajjar in a chat with ZEE5 discussed her journey to success and also shared a powerful message for her female fans.

When it comes to breaking the barriers, women have always lead the way towards breaking stereotypes and societal norms. Monal is no different. When asked about her journey in the film industry and the obstacles she had to overcome to achieve her dreams, Monal said that thinking big was the biggest barrier. Coming from a lower-middle-class family, and losing her father very early on in life, had put her in a position where she was responsible for the welfare of her mother and sister. It was a task to think out of the box and the thought of joining the film industry without any contact seemed like an impossible task. Society wasn’t kind either but that did not stop Monal.

Monal ,who comes from a typical Gujarati family, made her debut with the South Indian film industry and she had no knowledge either about Tamil, Telegu or Malayalam languages. But she was determined to #BreaktheBarriers and with constant efforts, was able to establish herself as a talented actress. She had nobody to guide her through these tough times, but she decided to follow her own will and took careful, calculated and wise decisions which eventually resulted in today’s success. Monal has set a new goal for herself this year. When asked what she #ChooseToChallenge, she revealed that she wants to make it big in Bollywood this year. She said that a challenge always comes from one’s own side first. We have to believe in our capabilities and have confidence in ourselves.

For International Women’s Day 2021, Monal has a powerful message for all the ladies who dare to dream big. She has asked them to write down their dreams and start working towards them. Every day has to be filled with learnings and we have to be as receiving as we can. Monal says it’s okay if we meet with failure, but never give up. Success does not have a fixing time, it may come early or it may take time but it will definitely knock the doors of the ones who keep trying.

Monal has been a part of many film industries including Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam and Gujarati. She recently made her debut in the Bollywood industry with ZEE5’s biographical drama Kaagaz which also starred Pankaj Tripathi as Bharatlal. The movie was well-received by the masses and critics couldn’t stop praising their earnest performances.
